Hallowed (Unearthyl #2), by Cynthia Hand

Hallowed (Unearthly, #2)Hallowed by Cynthia Hand

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One of the things I hate about fiction books is the love triangles. Most of them are pointless and are only written to stir things up between the heroin and the boy/man she loves – and they are mosly always handled in a tacky fashion! No one likes a woman who professes her love for multiple men, do they? Me especially!

When I read ‘Unearthly’ I was routingĀ for Tucker Avery from the start. Christian was Clara’s destiny, but he was too perfect and they didn’t have much to do with eachother. Whereas Clara really connected with Tucker, even skipped out on her own destiny to save him! When I heard there was going to be a sequel, I worried about the whole Tucker-Clara-Christian situation and I was so sure Clara would end up with Christian, simply because the boys I usually want to get the girl never do!

But Cynthia Hand wrote the sequel so well, and now has me torn! Because Christian really is a nice guy, who wants to help, but so is Tucker. Usually, with love triangles, I know who I want to get the girl – in this case, I am as torn as Clara!
